About the author-
s n sivanandam is professor and head, computer science and engineering department, psg college of technology, coimbatore. he did his msc (engineering) in power system in 1966 from the same college ranking second in the university, and did his doctorate in control systems in 1982 from madras university. he has a total of 41 years’ experience teaching both to undergraduate and postgraduate students. he has guided around 450 projects both in computer science and engineering, and electrical and electronics engineering. he has received many awards for his teaching and research. dr sivanandam has published nine books, and around 600 technical papers in national and international journals and conferences. he has delivered around 70 special lectures, chaired three international and five national conferences and is a member of various professional bodies.
